Get Rid of InsectsAntsGoverment Link: http://www.ipm.ucdavis.edu/PMG/PESTNOTES/pn7411.htmlEPA Guide to Pest Controlhttp://www.epa.gov/oppfead1/Publications/Cit_Guide/citguide.pdfFor a general description of ant species go to the first reference (UC Davis). For a detailed description of other pest, go to the second reference (USDA). Details of ant control are given in the references. Also, your handy hardware store should have a bunch of dangerous chemicals you can use. For ants outside, I usually leave them alone. If there is something to eat they appear out of no where. If ants get into the house, I try to see where the food source is hiding. I use those little ant traps which are very effective. I try to find the path the ants are using and I put them in the way of their travel. I also have placed them on the counter top to get rid of any strays. |
